The models in the 1/72-scale War Bird Collection by Tamiya are some of my favorite models to build. I find the quality to be excellent, and I appreciate the optimal balance of detail that can be achieved without resort to PE parts and the like. Since I am an out-of-the-box kind of modeler, that’s key! This kit did not disappoint.

Canopy masking is tedious, but I usually don’t want to lay out for after-market add-ons, so I mostly do it myself. This canopy came out about as well as I can get it!
